Just an announcement to let all my loyal readers know my blog name has changed. I wanted a little shelter from ” the man. ”

I hope my blog will be more fun and entertaining in the new year. Mainly, I will be commenting on news events, Christianity, and other blogs I find that interest me.

I hope to grow my blog readership so why not follow and let me know what you think?

Ben & Jerry's branch at United Square Mall, Si...

In reading all the hoopla about the “Occupy Wall Street” crowd, I started to wonder,” What is the left saying about this craziness.” So in a fit of nosiness, I started to read this gem.

To those that occupy: We stand with you. From your favorite producer of overpriced ice cream Ben and Jerry’s.

They have been leaning to the left for a long time so you say. But, guess what. Ol’ Ben and Jerry are not as squeaky clean as you would think!

Guess who sells Ben and Jerry’s?  WAL-MART!

So Ben and Jerry’s board of directors is spitting in the eye of the corporation that sells their products. A bit of hypocrisy here? Maybe a perfect example of pandering?

Everyone should be ticked. Either Ben and Jerry’s board are pretentious Socialists OR they are posturing to the poor to sell more goop!  And yes, the local news has already heard from me.

Schweddy balls anyone?

Original story from democraticunderground.com

Many that know me have noticed I have been on a tirade for the last couple days.  I suffer from quite a bit of disappointment when I see the masses giggle with glee over this whole rapture idea.  So I have a few things to say.

  1. Ok so first, Did you really think you were that freaking funny?  Who do you know that even came up with their own joke?
  2. Well, do you feel better now granted your big accomplishment on figuring out the rapture was not today? I mean , even for those that study the Bible, was it that much of a scriptural challenge?
  3. Did you at least pray for those poor souls that have lost everything?  That likely includes hope in God, salvation, life savings, relationships with relatives.  The list really goes on and on.
  4. And finally, for Rob Bell fans, did you not just finish that book?  Truthfully, I didn’t but, I’m not a fan.  How much love was given to these poor souls.  Our Christian brethren, by the way.

So you can tell me how they couldn’t hear your jokes.  You can hope what you thought and said didn’t hurt them.  You can excuse yourself for whatever bad experience you had that made you mad at those over zealous  horn blowers.  But think!  that could have been part of your journey.  Or maybe it was at some point.  And in that case, shame on you, you should know better.

Now, drink up!  Cheers!  Back to your party.  But on a closing note.  That whole silly hell thing.  What if your wrong?  Who’s going to be smug then?

I am not an Outlaw but, I play one on Twitter!

The O is for Outlaw.  There are no badges that I know of.  Nor cool hats.

But it stands for a growing number of both young and old persons tired of Christianity as we have grown to know.

They do the unthinkable.  They ask questions.  They search for answers.  And they do God’s work the best way they know how.

From feeding the poor to standing up for the downtrodden, these people walk the walk.  Not the way I would, not the way most people I know would.

But…. I’m learning…..

And praise God for that!  Praise his Holy Name to be interested again!  Thank you Father for blessing me with the Holy Spirit to have you on my thoughts even when I do not go to that building most call a church.

For the church is in me.  What I believe and what we believe.  And the beauty of OP is, We all can BELIEVE!  Believe without judgement the way God intended but with community and fraternity.

I love these people even though most don’t even know me.  Because of the new passion for Christ I have found.

Thank you OP’s.  God bless and be strong through the strife.  If you want more info, please check out brandonmouser.com.

And a special thank you to my friend Brandon for introducing me to it all.
